The neutrino magnetic moment: the smallest piece of physics that might hide something big
The Standard Model predicts neutrinos have a magnetic moment far smaller than anything anyone could plausibly measure. But several experimental anomalies have flirted with finding one. Measuring or constraining the magnetic moment is one of the cleaner ways to test for new neutrino physics.
